This thesis covers fears concerning jumping flips or somersaults and investigates ways to diminish these fears. Practicing acrobatics is disturbed by fears of failure or accident. These fears can be reduced by changing ways of thinking and training. This makes practicing acrobatics safer and more efficient. The material of this thesis has been gathered from sports psychology literature and own experience from acrobatics practice and teaching. A survey was also conducted for this thesis.
