The objective of this thesis was to create quality control instructions for Rakennusurakointi S. Tikakoski Oy. The instructions clarify and complete the company´s quality system created in 2007. The instructions were produced with the management of the company based on the meetings held during autumn 2011 and spring of 2012. Quality control instructions were created by using generally accepted quality requirements presented in the construction literature and the company's own files. Reference material was developed to complement the quality control instructions. The instructions concerning detached house construction quality control give clear guidelines for the company´s employees and subcontractors. In writing this thesis and the quality control instructions, the Microsoft Word 2007 and Excel 2007 software programs were used. Reference material drawings were drawn up with AutoCAD 2010. As a result of the thesis quality documents and reference material were created. The reference material will be taken into use by educating employees working in the company.
