The goal of the final year project was to produce 15 video tutorials for different fields of higher-level education focused on climate change. The material was put together on an online learning environment. As a part of the work, the post-production process of video production was studied. The video tutorials were made for a project lead by the University of Helsinki, the Lappeenranta University of Technology and The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra.

The final year project was divided into video tutorial production and the study of post-production. The goal of the videos was to produce material for a course about climate change. The material was used to support higher-level education oriented goals and the diverse target audience. In exploring the post-production process, the objective was to comprehend the big picture, the influence of stages on the final product, the technical requirements and the interaction of stages concerning post-production. Regardless of the initial situation, the work describes how to reach the highest quality end results. The goal of the study was also to describe the video post-production clearly, so that the basic understanding of the process is achieved even though every production is different.

Many professionals of the video production industry were interviewed in order to get an understanding of the essential tools, so they could be put to use in the final year project. With one post-produced video, it was possible to study video post-production workflow.

The result of the final year project was an overview of the complicated post-production process. The thesis gives appropriate information concerning post-production of videos and offers understanding of things to take into consideration. It also describes the technical aspects and the interaction of stages during the post-production process. The project works as an introduction to video production for beginners and as a recap for professionals of the industry. The project gives a good introduction to basic video post-production processes and approaches for many special cases.
