Technical IT sales are not the same as product sales. It requires certain qualities from the salesperson and is a balance between technology, technical sales, and learned sales practices. Digitalization has brought with it the opportunity for new types of systems and applications for business development. The job description of a technical salesperson is to find customers' problems, areas for development and to sell projects based on them. In today’s IT sales, the salesperson cannot succeed with the basics of sales alone, therefore they must acquire the relevant knowledge and skills. Customers expect to buy solutions that develop their business. The salesperson must be able to professionally find and develop projects related to their business for customers. The thesis describes the daily work of a technical salesman for ten weeks. Each day of the week has a goal-oriented description, and each full week of the diary is analyzed, as well as the salesperson’s development in the week’s work assignments. After the diary, the thesis and development during the whole thesis process is discussed. In addition, an attempt is made to understand from the seller the necessary characteristics of how the seller has survived this entity. At present, in IT sales, the salesperson is assumed to have the skills to serve the customer. The characteristics of a technical salesperson include the use of good sales practices and knowledge of technical information.
