The content of this thesis was to illustrate and fold a book. The aim was to make a book for children about anorexia. The author is especially interested in more difficult topics in children’s literature and it was challenging to illustrate this topic. The book tells about a mother who has an anorexia and how the nine-year-old girl named Minttu experiences this.

The aim was to make a book, which could be somehow helpful for children dealing with anorexia one way or another. The book also works for adults; it tells how effective their role model can be. This report goes deep into studying children’s literature and illustrating. The author explores of literature on hard subjects ja how it is presented today, as well as how they are used as an aid in bibliotherapy.
