Parenthood is one of the biggest things in human life. That´s why there can be a lot of expectations and pressures related to parenthood. Parenthood and parenting include a lot of norms, insights, choices, comparisons, and mixed feelings among these. Finding the right balance between these sections in life can make parenthood challenging. The meaning of the research was to find out what kinds of parental pressures occur in internet news. The meaning was to produce topical information about parental pressures that can be used both in social care and normal families. It was meant that this information could help to understand parental pressures and to support parents in changing society. The material used in this research was from three Finnish internet- and news websites called Yle.fi, Ilta-Sanomat and Iltalehti. The material was news and articles that were published in 2020. The research was a quantitative research. Thematic analysis was used as the quantitative method. From the results, it was found from the internet news that parents do feel many kinds of pressures. In the results was found six main themes which where: pressures from society and other parents, pressures from work life and economy, pressures created by social media, pressures from own expectations and from the attempt to do perfect, pressures of being insufficient and pressures linked to hectic daily life. As conclusion it can be said that in the internet news occur different pressures linked to parenthood. From internet news can also be found that parental pressures can appear both from parents themselves but also from the surrounding world. These pressures can affect parenting and the insights of one's own parenthood but also the coping of a parent.
