The purpose of project eBooks in education was to find out how eBooks are used in the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. The project had three different angles: 1) teachers' and students' 2) publishers' and 3) the library's. The project was carried out in collaboration with the publisher WSOYPro/Docendotuotteet and the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and the courses were all part of normal study courses. The representatives were educational units at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences, School of Cultural Studies, School of Business and School of Information Technology. The results show that eBooks are well suited as teaching material and support the pedagogy of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. Technical limitations restrict the use of eBooks. Although eBooks clearly bringnew aspects to teaching.
