The aim of the development project was to improve the co-operation between working life and education; from the point of on-the-job-learning. The another aim of the project was to bring closer education and working life and improve the quality of on-the-job-learning. The project was carried out by collecting information from the employers and members of the educational institute about the importance and development needs of on-the-job-learning. Development project consisted of following items:: A. Survey to employers and educuational institute members We conducted survey to employers and educational institute members about challenges, needs and development topics of on-the-job-learning. B. On-the-job-learning In the section of the learning at work we researched challenges, advantages and how learning at work could be further developed C. Employer as development party at on-the-job-learning. In this section we researched the co-operation of the education and on-the-joblearning in changing working life challenges and the changing role of the teacher D. On-the-job-learning instructor: In this section we researched the job description and the new challenges of on-thejob- learning instructor E. Concrete suggestions for the development of on-the-job-learning: At the end we discuss how on-the-job-learning could be improved
