The aim of this thesis is to find out how company taxation works in Finland and in Germany. I present different options for a Finnish company to enter the German market and how the Finnish company will be taxed in these cases. In the theoretical part the basics of how partnerships and corporations are taxed is explained and some of the German company forms are presented. The outlines of the tax agreement between Finland and German are clarified. By comparing the taxation of companies in both countries I can conclude that the taxation procedure differs a lot in Finland and Germany. There are many ways for a Finnish company to take their first step into the German market.
