This thesis focuses on the manufacture planning of the exterior stages at a high-rise construction site and managing it from the perspective of the master builder. The objective of the thesis was to prepare a task plan draft for the exterior stages of operation at the high-rise construction site. The purpose of the task plan draft was to improve SRV’s quality and production management and supervision of the construction site. During the thesis work the author worked at the SRV construction site, handling construction management tasks.

The thesis was prepared in accordance with the master’s work at the degree programme in construction management at Turku University of Applied Sciences. The master’s work focused on to three areas, these are schedule planning and supervision, subcontracts and task planning. The literature review of the thesis was realized at the construction site and presents documents as attachments in relation to the above-mentioned sections. Sections discluding SRV's internal documents, which are, for example, task planning drafts and subcontracts. As a source for the preparation of the task planning drafts and forming the theory mostly technical literature was used. In addition, the expertise of experienced master builders and existing information of previous task plans were used for the preparation of the task planning.

During the thesis work a new illustrative task plan draft for SRV Construction Ltd was produced. The task plan draft can be used as a tool for the novice master builders. The task plan draft of the exterior stages of operation is exploitable with minor modifications for the inner and other stages of operation in the future.
