This bachelor’s thesis addresses how to develop and modernize the filling and creating of commissioning test reports. The finished tool saves labor hours and improves quality of the reports that are sent to clients. The tool eliminates repetitive tasks in Excel Worksheets by taking advantage of VBA coding build into the Excel. The report tool contains all currently used commissioning reports in the company and new sheets can be easily added with macros.

The Excel tool enables producing commissioning reports for hundreds of power distribution devices including protective relays, circuit breakers, disconnectors, and switchgear. Operation is done from a single sheet to make it efficient and easy for the end-user. Making new files follows all the naming and quality guidelines the company has set for the reports.
