This thesis deals with the production of my solo album. I did everything by myself in the production, working as the producer, composer and lyricist, and as the recording and mixing engineer. In the written part of my thesis I report on the different stages of the production, and on the artist’s ability to control those stages and produce an album that meets the commercial requirements.

The recording and mixing were attained at my home studio in Vantaa and at Studio Avaria in Virrat. The media part of my bachelor's thesis consists of three of the eight songs on the album, and they are given a closer look. I also discuss the success of managing the different stages of the production. Six of the songs on the album were written in the first half of 2011, the remaining two in 2010.

The main point of this thesis was to create an album to be best listened to as a whole. I also wanted to challenge myself in learning to control simultaneously the different perspectives of working in a studio. _______________________________________________________________
