Tässä opinnäytetyössä tehdään mykkäelokuvatyylinen musiikkivideo seinäjokiselle Hamilton Groove-yhtyeelle, jonka musiikissa on vaikutteita rock-, blues-, ja jazzmusiikista. Video tehtiin mykkäelokuvatyyliseksi, koska se sopi valittuun kappaleeseen ja yhtyeen vanhahtavaan imagoon. Video suunniteltiin, ja kuvaukset toteutettiin yhtyeen kanssa yhteistyössä.

Videon toteutus jakaantui kolmeen eri työvaiheeseen, joita olivat suunnittelu, kuvaus ja editointi. Yhtye ei halunnut osallistua videon editointivaiheeseen vaan he halusivat nähdä vasta valmiiksi leikatun version, jota lopussa hienosäädettiin heidän toivomusten mukaisesti.

Lopullinen video julkaistaan Hamilton Grooven internetsivuilla, ja tavoitteena on saada videon avulla lisää näkyvyyttä ja sitä kautta uusia kuuntelijoita.

This thesis concentrates on the production of a music video made in the style of silent film. The musical group, Hamilton Groove, originates from Seinäjoki, Finland and their style of music is greatly influenced by rock, blues and jazz music. The genre of silent film was chosen mainly because of the retro image of the band and the suitability of the song for this type of art form. The video was designed and shot in co-operation with the band. The implementation of the product was divided into three segments that consisted of designing, shooting and editing. The group did not want to participate in editing. They preferred seeing the finished product and making the final adjustments based on their artistic view. The final version of the video will be published online on the website of Hamilton Groove. The goal is to get more publicity through the video.
