Opinnäytetyön päätavoitteena oli suunnitella ja toteuttaa PetterSteel Oy:lle 3D-mallinnuksen avulla mahdollisimman todenmukainen tuotannon layout-suunnittelu sekä huomioda materiaalivirtausta osana tehokasta tuotantoa. Myös 5S-järjestelmän sisällyttä-minen toimivaan tuotantoon omine osineen kuului työn sisältöön. Layout-suunnittelulla py-rittiin heti saamaan yrityksen tuotanto tehokkaaksi uusissa toimitiloissa sekä voitiin todeta mallinnuksen avulla suunnittelun puutteet ja ongelmat.

Työssä tehtiin muutamia erilaisia mallinnusvariaatioita hallin piirustusten ja tuotannosta piir-rettyjen hahmotelmien pohjalta. Näistä valittiin optimoiduin ratkaisu, minkä jälkeen aloitet-tiin mallinnustyö Solidworks-ohjelmalla ja luotiin 3D-mallinnus tuotannosta. Tämän mallin-nuksen mukaisesti asetettiin myös koneet ja laitteet toimivaan tuotantoon.

Jatkossa voisi kehittää tuotannonohjausta ja tutustua paremmin Lean-periaatteeseen ja sen lanseeraaminen tuotantoon sekä 5S- järjestelmän täydellinen noudattaminen.

The purpose of this final year project was to design and carry out a layout plan of produc-tion facilities for PetterSteel Oy using 3D-modeling and to take material flow into account as part of effective production as well as to incorporate 5S-methodology into operational production. Using layout planning, the attempt was to make production in the company immediately as efficient as possible in the new premises. It was also possible to locate the design flaws and problems already in the planning phase.

Some modeling variations were made based on the technical drawings of the premises and sketches of the production layout. The most optimized solution was selected out of these options. After that a 3D model of the production was made by using the Solidworks program. All the machines and devices were placed in the facilities as show in this model.

Developing production management, getting more familiar with Lean-practices, deploying it into production and completely following 5S- methodology could be areas of focus in the future.
