Opinnäytetyö oli toiminnallinen kehittämistyö. Toimeksiantaja oli Maalaiskaupungin päiväkoti Päivänkakkara Kiuruvedeltä. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tuottaa päiväkodin lapsille ja heidän isovanhemmilleen yhteinen toiminnallinen aamupäivä. Toiminnallisen aamupäivän tavoitteena oli myös kehittää lasten ja isovanhempien osallisuutta ja toiminnallisuutta yhteisellä toiminnalla.

Toiminnalliseen aamupäivään osallistuneet lapset olivat iältään 3−5-vuotiaita. Isovanhempien määrä rajattiin päiväkodin ohjeiden mukaisesti kahteen isovanhempaan lasta kohden. Toiminnallinen aamupäivä toteutettiin Kiuruvedellä maatilamatkailukohde Sinisessä Helmessä. Toiminnallisen aamupäivän aikana lapset ja isovanhemmat kiersivät yhdessä suunnitellut toimintapisteet. Opinnäytetyön avainsanat olivat osallisuus, toiminnallisuus, sukupolvisuus ja isovanhemmuus. Kaikki käsitteet ovat olleet toiminnan suunnittelun lähtökohtia.

Opinnäytetyön lopputuotoksena teemme päiväkodille lasten ja isovanhempien yhteisestä toiminnallisesta aamupäivästä dokumentin. Dokumentissa on kuvia ja kertomuksia, joiden avulla päiväkodilla voidaan palata aamupäivän tapahtumiin. Lisäksi toivotaan, että dokumentti ja opinnäytetyö voivat olla avuksi seuraavan toiminnallisen tapahtuman järjestämisessä.

This thesis is an instructive act. The applicant is Päivänkakkara day care center in Kiuruvesi. The aim of the thesis is to produce collective and funktional forenoon activities for the children in the day care center and their grandprents. The aim is to also develop the involvement of the children and the grandparents with the shared activity.

The children participated the forenoon are aged between three and five years. The number of the grandparents was limited to two grandparents per one child. according to the quidelines of the day care center. The functional forenoon was put into practice in a farm travel destination called Sininen Helmi in Kiuruvesi. The children and their grandparents got around activity points together during the functional forenoon. The key words of the thesis are involvement, functionality, generations and grandparenthood. All of these concepts are starting points in the planning of the activity.

As a result of the thesis we are going to make a document of the functional forenoon. The dokument will include pictures and narrations that allow returning to the forenoon events. In addition, we hope the document and the thesis will be usefull when organizing future events.
