Risk analysis in health sciences means a pre-emptive study about a customer’s risk to get disease like, for instace, a cardiovascular disease. This study uses the concepts risk analysis and risk assessment interchangeable. The study was done for medical center Lupaus.

The medical center Lupaus’s pre-emptive reception is designed for a customer who wants to investigate and manage risks to get a disease and improve chances to remain healthy and functional. The pre-emptive reception includes risk factor measurements (i.e. weight and height), analysis for factors that run in the family, doctor’s interview appointment and several risk measurements. Finally a customer receives a risk report for his situation. The purpose for the study is to find new risk measurements and compare those according to the criteria given by the client.

The objective for the study is to improve the pre-emptive reception Lupaus uses. The purpose is that the client’s customers receive more comprehensive and reliable information for his health risks and healthiness. After the customer has received a risk report, he can improve his health with lifestyle changes like a healthy diet and exercise. The final outcome for the study offers appropriate risk assessment measurements for Lupaus, which can be utilized to improve public health.

The study was implemented in years 2014-2015. Several sources were used to assess risk measurements and found measurements were compared by their usability. As an outcome three optional measurements were suggested for Lupaus.
