The aim of this thesis was to design timber-framed one-family house. This thesis presents the guidelines and regulations relating to design and dimensioning of structures.

In the beginning of the thesis requirements of design set by laws and regulations is explained. Thesis covers different levels of regulations and instructions, which should be followed in any construction.

Some structures, which were suitable especially for the building in this thesis, is covered more specific. Dimensioning of structures is inspected by Eurocodes.

For result of the thesis master plan and energy audit for building permit and construction drawings were developed.
