In this thesis, I choose to write about work-related stress among the healthcare staff. Work related stress become more common as health problem for the healthcare staffs and they experience more stress due to Corona virus pandemic.

The purpose of this work is to add more knowledge about work related stress and covid19. I want to find out whether the pandemic of Corona virus affects healthcare staffs on their work shifts, how they are managing it and how they can prevent work related stress due COVID-19. In this study I have two questions at issue, 1) why does healthcare staff experience work related stress during the period of covid-19? 2) how does healthcare staff handle and prevent work related stress? I chose to make a qualitative interview study where they also used a semistructured interview method. During the study I had interviewed four health care staff at a bedward. The interviews were conducted in the spring of 2021. The result of the interviews was analyzed by dint of a qualitative content analysis and used the Antonivskys theoretical KASAM.

In the result of the study shows that healthcare staffs experience more stress at their workplace. The stress occurs more due to Coronavirus. Healthcare staff lacks information and knowledge about the new virus variant they encountered which also required them a lot of demands. According to those who were asked how they are managing and how to prevent the situation, to recover from work, take fresh air and cooperation with colleagues.
