Tämän insinöörityön tarkoituksena oli suorittaa modernisointi telahiomakoneelle. Modernisoinnilla parannetaan koneiden hiontatarkkuutta, jolloin myös lopputuotteen laatu paranee. Modernilla mittalaitteella ja uusilla komponenteilla voidaan minimoida telan pinnan laatuvirheet. Työssä visuaalisesti havainnollistetaan sekä kerrotaan telahiomakoneista, niiden komponenteista, valmistuksesta, toiminnasta ja huollosta. Työ suoritettiin kahdessa eri vaiheessa. Ensimmäiseen vaiheeseen kuuluivat yrityksen tiloissa suoritettavat työt ja toiseen asiakkaan tehtaalla tehtävät työt. Insinöörityön tuloksena oli onnistuneesti suoritettu telahiomakoneen modernisointi, joka lisäsi koneen toimintavarmuutta sekä mahdollisti koneen hallinnan etäyhteydellä.

The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to successfully implement the modernization of a roll grinding machine. The modernization of roll grinding machines improves the grinding accuracy of the machines, thus also improving the quality of the product. Modern measuring equipment and components can minimize quality defects on the roll surface. This thesis visually illustrates and describes the purpose of roll grinding machines and their operation, manufacturing process, maintenance, and components. The thesis was carried out in two different phases. The first phase included work at the company’s premises, and in the second phase, the work was done at the client’s factory. As a result of this Bachelor’s thesis, the successful modernization of the roll grinding machine was conducted, which increased the operational reliability of the machine and made it possible to control the machine remotely.
