The purpose of this thesis is to produce a learning material that supports the studies of magnetic resonance imaging. The aim of this learning material is to ease and quicken the learning process of magnetic resonance imaging of the knee and prepare students for practical work in a magnetic resonance imaging unit.

This thesis was produced with a certain private hospital and because of a need of a practical learning material. The material was produced to visualize the practical process of magnetic resonance imaging in the form of PowerPoint presentation that includes photos and text. The learning material was also produced with a thought that it needs to be interesting and motivating for the students. For this particular reason we added questions that activate students with the subject.

This product has been made for the use of Helsinki Metropolia University Of Applied Sciences as a part of radiography and radiotherapy degree programme for preparing students for practical training in magnetic resonance imaging.

The theoretical framework of this thesis bases on the literature, web materials and research results.
