Implementation of a website with Drupal: a case study of City Rabbits

The objective of this thesis was the implementation of a website for the web service City Rabbits. This service is meant to be a contact between travelers and the local people. With it, travelers can find information about their personal interests concerning the destination. The constructive research method was used in the project. The developing process was per-formed with the waterfall model. Iteration was used then planning and implementing. The user interface was developed from prototypes. The table of requirements was based on the plan received from the customer. The visuals and functions were derived from this plan. The site itself was developed with Drupal 7, which en-ables easy maintenance and further developing. Proposals for further developing are gathered as a part of the thesis. As an outcome, a webpage was created for the use of the customer. The chat functions through Facebook and the service include the possibility of advising, blogging and contacting the site administrators. The webpage is located at a server under the customer's manage-ment. Also, it can be taken in use when required. For maintenance and content update there was a separate guide produced in English for the customer.
