The thesis was commissioned by the City-Ylivieska project. The commission included carrying out a user survey for the market stalls, Preparing a needs assessment, a manufacturing plan and a cost estimate, as well as modelling what the finished booth should look like. This thesis presents the theory on preparing and executing a survey and presents the results of the finished survey. As part of this thesis also a manufacturing plan and a model for selected booths were made.
