A ship model of the motor ship M/S Aragona. The steel-hulled cargo vessel was built in 1956 in Oskarshamn, Sweden, for the Rederi Hans von Rettig shipping company based in Turku, Finland. Within the ship’s first year its ownership changed to Rederibolaget Re-Be and back again to Rederi Hans von Rettig. After changing ownership in 1964 the Aragona was renamed as Mautric in 1968 and again as Vira in 1973. In 1981 the ship suffered from a massive fire after which it was sold to Gadani Beach in Pakistan where it was demolished the following year.
The model is painted in the colours of the Rederi Hans von Rettig shipping company.
