The purpose of this thesis is to show how different analyses can improve storage efficiency. In addition, the thesis describes the impact of storage and its efficiency on the operation of the entire company. The target company is Ursuit Oy, a Finnish manufacturer of diving and immersion dry suits. Ursuit is part of the Belgian SIOEN Group.

The theoretical part of the thesis is about warehousing and inventory management, as well as the background of the target company. The practical part of the thesis examines the current state of the company and explains how analytics can improve operations for the future. The target company had already thought about reducing the selection and there were also problems with the availability of some products. Four different material groups were selected for the analysis. The information from the survey will be used to plan a new selection. The analysis was conducted using data from year 2019.

The results for each heading group were clearly presented. This information can be used to make decisions about the selection and the methods can be also used for rest of the warehouse.
