I mitt arbete reflekterar jag över hur naturen blir behandlad i västvärlden. Jag undersöker prioriteringar i vårt samhälle och hur den finska skogen kan fungera som ett andrum för eftertanke. Jag reflekterar också över konsekvenserna av klimatförändringen och går in i ämnet med en hypotes om att alla levande ting är sammankopplade med varandra. Jag har skapat en filminstallation vars syfte är att blåsa liv i frågeställningen vad vi lämnar åt kommande generationer. Samtidigt är arbetet en hyllning till naturen, som har kommit att betyda mycket för mig. Fokus ligger på skogsavverkning eftersom träden har en stor roll i den ekologiska cykeln. För mig är ekologiskt logiskt.

In my work I reflect on how the nature is being treated in the west. I explore our society´s priorities and how the Finnish forest can work as a place to breath and a place for reflection. I also reflect on the consequences of the climate change and I approach this subject with a hypothesis that all living things are connected. I have created a video installation with the purpose of shining a light on the question what do we leave behand to the upcoming generations. At the same time, the artwork is a tribute to nature, which has come to mean a lot to me. The focus lies on the logging industry sense the trees play a big role in the ecological cycle. To me ecology is logical.
