The aim of this Bachelor ́s thesis was to identify problems in the process of Autoklinikka-yhtiöt Oy auto body repair shops and find solutions to streamline the process. Streamlining the process can improve cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction, as well as personnel satisfaction.

The research for this thesis was carried out by of interviewing and monitoring the supervisors in the Konala repair shop. The interviews were conducted in every Autoklinikka repair shop in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Supervisors, auto body repairers and paint shop staff were interviewed.

What was found out through the interviews was that the biggest problems in the process are insufficient working time and continuous interruption in the supervisors' work. As a result of this thesis suggestions on how to streamline the process are introduced. One of the most significant observations was a need for a garage supervisor, with whose help the interruptions and workload could be reduced.
