The purpose of this study is to find the best possible communication techniques to manage communication, specifically in the area of university-to-student communication, and in cases when school have several campuses. I examine the Laurea University of Applied Sciences in my case study. The literature review focuses on studies in the fields of internal communication, communication management and communication tool use habits of the “net generation”. Data was collected in eight interviews with Laurea staff. Findings were analyzed using the constructivist approach and the support of the theoretical background. Analysis then results in proposals to address and correct the main problem areas. These proposed improvements are to utilize centralized communication, visualizing the message, the right timing and a directive communication style.
